I'm having a moment of uncontrollable nostalgic squee. [livejournal.com profile] amaleka_crone listed Gary Oldman on her lust/crush list and I've been dreaming of him in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead all day!

I need to cap the movie myself so I can do a proper picspam of Gary Oldman in his adorable, youthful hotness. This mini-picspam will suffice in the meantime to illustrate the glorious hottie adorkability factor.

My personal favorite:

But he's damn adorable here too:

And here:

Best WTF face on Roth here ever:

Most adorkable ever:

He was and is: so. frakking. hot.

*sighs*

I need to buckle down and sign up for something at [livejournal.com profile] shakes_that_fic soon because I could really churn out some Shakespearean/BSG crack about now :)

I know! I love that movie so much! Both Tim and Gary were so young and hot...

And I'm terribly glad to have found someone else that nerds out about Shakespeare and Austen as much as I do :D

Yes, Shakespeare and Austen: pleasure reading for hard-core nerds only. I mean seriously, how could you not geek-out over them?

Aw, I love that Stoppard play and this movie did a great job with it. Both actors are so flippin hot, they're making me sexist.

Bitches.

I hope non-authentic Shakespeare words are okay to work into sonnets. Is that cool? Or is the idea to write a whole sonnet of your own in the Shakespearean style?

I checked the rules and I didn't see anything about language authenticity, so I'm pretty sure we can use as much modern language and BSG slang as we want. The rules page is here (http://community.livejournal.com/shakes_that_fic/277.html) for sign-up instructions and other rule-type stuff.

We could each write a sonnet or two on our own, and maybe co-write a scene pastiche?

I just barely found it on DVD recently and I hadn't seen it since it came out in 1990 so it was great fun watching it again. He's so young and adorable :)

Oh, I must see that movie. We watched a little clip of it (in physics class, don't ask) but I want to see the whole thing. :)
